I think it's beautiful. It stands out nicely I bet you can see it very well in your pond.
Does look male because of body shape and strong color and the tail tub is thin. But that only matters in competitions. Most people prefer a little more white mixed in with their showas these days but that's also a personal taste type of thing.
Then again most people do not have near the quality of this koi in thier ponds unless they are show koi owners.
I'm not a show koi person only because of the expense. Or I would love to own top quality koi but those run in the thousands of dollars, here in the USA
So if your're going the show koi route, you have to pay alot of attention to body confirmation. I know because I've helped host the Dallas Koi Show for five years. Just because I can't afford doesn't mean I can't appreciate.
