Love that Curly headed right hand man. My grandaugther loves the koi too.

Koi are all beautiful except the one fat chunky ball one that was in there. (Sorry) Looks to big to be goldfish but too stumpy to keep as a koi. Whats the story on that fish????? I'm just really curious.

Everyone seems to have way more koi than I do. I'm just jealous. I wish I had more room, I'm stuck with what I have for many reasons.

My son loves the koi fish and water. He helps me with everything.
He loves to give then food 2.

The fat chunky ball is a gold fish mix fantail.
Have it for a long time now , I cal him/her cricket ball.

I will take a foto of the fish and put it on the forum.

I am over stock and are selling or giving aways some om them now.

I am looking at extending my koi pond.

Here is what i like to do.





The new pond will be higher then the old pond , and where the new pond join the old pond i will like to have a waterfall.

I am still in the beginning of all my planning of the new pond.

I will like to know what the memebers think of my idea?


I am looking at makeing the new pond 1.5 meter deep.
1 meter in to the ground and 500 mm out of the ground.

The new pond will be 7 meters by 2m and 1.5 meter deep.

I am not sure about the filter system. Cause of my old pond dont have a bottom drain.

What I think?
If you want it do it, but keep in mund that:
You will have a mess for a long time.
You can try to put a window????facing the pool.
My daughter did that. I need to take a picture for you. But she did it like 1m higher and the fall falls with force . It looks good.
I am tired now from building ponds.
Try to do it yourself. Just hire builders.

Yes it is hard work building a koi pond. Will see how things go and maybe will get some help to build the pond.

It is all mix in this bowl.

THe black are showa fry and the red are shiro that is got .

Here is my Righthand man helping me fixing the car.

Hi there all ,

I am still busy planning my new koi pond that i will like to build in the nest 2/3 years.

My new pond will be 7 meter by 2 meter and 1.5 meter deep. Where 500 mm will be in to the ground.

With 2 settlement cambers , 2 sand filters , 2 X 55 watt UV light , and 2 X 25 L Boi-Filter return back to the new pond.

　

My first problem i am having is that my new pond will be higher then the old pond and will like to join the two pond and make it one big pond.

My bottom drain of my old pond is PVC piping that is on the floor with holes in them.

I have 50 mm fitting on the one side of my pond that is sticking out and got a end cup on it . I use it to drain the pond.



I want to modify this fitting so that i can use it as a bottom drain when i build my new pond.
