Hi Colin, time to change your avatar. You currently have much better fish than your Kumonryu. Which is your favourite fish now? The Sanke on one of the last photos is one of my favourites.

Maybe you should take a nice photo of your large Kohaku in the back pond for your avator?

Yes Paul, you are correct, there are some very nice fish in the back pond.

Uncle Colin, please post a couple of pics of your filters for this great water quality?

Some stunning koi ,the Shiro on photo 4 caught my eye

I was going to say exactly the same Joe........Colin, has your avatar Kumunryo completely stabilised now?

Saw it in your front pond and it is generally completely black now, does it still change?

This kumunryo as well as Joes are the best I have seen....wonder if he will post a pic and the story that goes with it!

Thanks Joe, yes she is a very nice Shiro, local bred by Frans Mentz. The other one you will see on the photos on page one was actually a nicer Shiro but this fish has changed so much after the problems I had two or three years ago. Firstly she got a large red spot the size of a five Rand coin, then she lost her head pattern and most of the sumi to the dorsal fin and while this was taking place she became snow white and the red spot slowly started to shrink. I am hoping that the underling black will return.

Thanks Cliff, the Kumunryo you can see on the second and third photo on page one, very disappointing however I am hoping this will still change and some of the white will return.

No Col, if you look closely at my avatar you will also see little flowers (cherry blossoms ) and I'm not a panzy. I think it will look nice.
