I have a question hopefully someone can give an accurate answer on!

If I have a submersible pump, that I keep in a clean chamber that I pump out of. I am lifting the water 1 meter above the waters surface, veritically into a bakki shower in the first scenario......

in tne seconds scenario in am lifting the water into a bakkie shower, the pipe from the submersible to the bakkie show is 2 meters long, double the length of the pipe in scenario 1.....but this is flowing into the bakki shower at an angle of anywhere between 25 - 40 degrees.

Which scenario will give me the better flow rate into the bakkie shower?

I think the amount of water that you will get out at the top will be the same because the head height is the same. Doesn't matter if the pipe goes up with a angle or not. the only place where you might gain a little will be on the 90 bent but will work better with 2x 45's. Don't even think you will notice it so little will it be. Just my opinion from experience I had with things like this.

thanks for the reply Tommy.....just the angle on the 2nd scenario at the join makes me think it will offer more as opposed to scenario 1.....even if I use a long radius bend.

If I were you I would use the one that will fork the best for your placement of the filter and pump. If there is any difference it will be so small you wont even notice it. Please post pictures of the progress of your new pond.

I have a same diagram for my above ground pool not ponds. But my friend said it is not a good way so he put a couple of pipes in the bottom for emergency.
