I just setup a new QT pond, very simple and was quite cost effective!

made from 700 Perspex\canvas

2m x 1m x 1m so 2000litres

Has pockets that I have 50mm pvc piping in, then hole sawed 22mm holes into the tops of the pvc pipe where I then have 22mm aluminium piping holding the tank up.

Then also just added a 3 tier bakkie shower which lava rock, bio balls and loolitubes in.

Has a 5000lph submersible pump with a dual outlet airpump in as well.

Cheap and easy setup and works well and is easy to put away\setup when need be.

Canvas Tank was around R600
Frame was around R500
Bakkies R150
Piping and bends R150
Pump R450

Very nice set up, just a word of caution when I re-done my pond I placed all my koi in a vat under thatch,after 2 weeks the color started to fade especially the Sumi
to me they need direct light.not sure if anyone has experienced this as well.

Yes Joe, totally agree and was / is a concern to me.

Just the easiest location for me to set this up, and fish will only be in there for a max of 3 weeks.

Did ur colours return to normal when back in normal pond/light?

Yes Cliff ,took about 3 days

then I guess it will be fine to keep them in there for 3 or so weeks.
