probems
i have a 14,700 gallon pond which is 3 ft above ground level and 3 ft below ground level and the temp is 0.c and the pond is uncovered we have had a very cold start to the winter but i have noticed that two of my fish are on there sides but when they swim they find it hard to stay upright they seem to go on there sides as if there swim bladders are packing up could anyone shed some light on the matter for me.

Hi Carl, looks like sleeping disease. I had it once and after increasing the salt levels, the problem was sorted. Some people treat with Malachite green.

Hi Thanks,

I'll pass this on. There is also a temperature issue here I believe. They are having extreme low temperatures in the UK and this might not be helping Koi who have additional stress factors
