Hi all,

Just a quick question on SC’s . It needs to be the same height as your pond to stop it from overflowing. However, I do not find any guidelines about the floor. Does that need to be the same level as the pond floor or may it be higher or even lower. What would be the optimal setup Question

Many thanks

No Ray,

1m should be adequate, just remember to install a botton drain also.

Hi Ray
Depth doesn't matter but the "full" level of your pond and settlement chamber must be the same level when you work with gravity. Obviously it must not be to shallow or to small other wise the water flows to fast and you don't get the solids to settle. Like Jaco said, 1m should be fine Very Happy

thank you both !

So the fact that the water will have to travel up the bd pipe for about 900 mm will have no effect on the flow or displacement of sedement ?
