Hi Ayoobkasu,
I suggest you share info with DJ, He is on the right track and is going about it very professionally. He is also talking to a very knowledgeable fellow.

I would keep the pool in tact and build my filtration chambers inside the pool, add bottom drains at the deep end, covered with concrete, and either cover the bottom drain pipes on the sides with concrete or build a thin extra wall on the sides to cover the pipes.

I think Paul's idea is brilliant. I won't break-up any structure since it might leak. I was trying to find a site on the internet where I guy converted his swimming pool into a pond but was unable to find the site. In his case he added 4 drains at the deep end - covered it with cement untop of the excisting pool and took the pipes out to his filter system. Looked good but since you have a huge pool I would also use space inside the pool to fit the filters and cover it with a wooden deck
