My first pond Empty
PostSubject: My first pond   My first pond EmptyTue Jul 03, 2012 8:35 am

Here's a picture of my first pond. When I built it I never planned on keeping koi, I just wanted a pond and knew nothing about koi. So once I finished building it I filled it with water then thought about what I I should put in it. I went to the pet shop and looked around, was first just going to get goldfish, then I saw the koi. Bought 4 cheapies and that was the start of my love for koi. I still have 3 of the original 4. The pond is tiny, only around 1200 liters, I now use it as my quarantine pond. This is a recent photo of it, I had to re-seal it once after it developed a crack between the back wall and the floor. I put the plastic mesh around it as a temporary measure to prevent the koi in quarantine from jumping out, well mainly the tester koi from my collection, it doesn't like being in the tiny pond.
