From facebook I picked up the story, Colyn's dog actually pulled in the wrong direction and seems he got Colyn in the wrong position and his arm broke close to the joint.

Some dog, seems colorblind though.

Here is Colyn's story in his own words.


Colyn Serfontein commented on his status:

"My dog tried to attack one my workers and I grabbed him by the neckstrap. He turned on me and I whacked him, he growled again and I sized him up for some more dicipline. He realised he was in trouble and jumped away.

My hand was tangled in the strap and he took off, taking me with.

End result was that the head of the humerus bone broke off. If I had less muscles in my shoulder the arm would have been dislocated.

Thanks a lot guys ... arm and shoulder is operational again albeit with some discomfort in the shoulder.

I rode my bike again on Friday so I am quite happy.
