| Hi Can anyone tell me where to get the BORGES olive oil and garlic. I have tried Spar and looked at PNP WOODMEAD but no luck.
Any other brand will also suffice Thanks Anver |

| Hi,
Boiled brown rice without any salt is better! |

| Hi Guys
I bought some garlic from Woolworths in a punnet/cube form. Its quite easy to use as you push out 1 or 2 cubes as required.
Looking at the ingredients i noticed it has the following
83%garlic canola oil salt lemon juice concentrate water
My question is, Would this be suitable to add to my koi food ?as i am not sure about the canola oil, salt and the lemon juice.
Thanks Anver |

| Hi Anver, No that stuff is not the right thing I would not use it, it must be plain garlic with no ather stuff. People who sell food to the pigeon guys normally have garlic oil, wich is aceptable and then there is garlic powder from the spice people, Freddy Hirch they are in crown mills but also have little outlets, one in Roodepoort,or just ask your local butcher to get for you, I paid 29.00 for a kg. Use 40 grams of this to 1kg of food. If you cant come right tell me I will give you some no,s |

| I feed mine fresh crushed garlic. No problem after a few months of use.
I mix vita-C 2000 and the gatlic in a glass of warm water and then add it to the pellets. After about 15min the pellets will be soft then I add clay to bind everything together. Doing it this way will ensure you dont waste any vita or garlic - the solid pieces will be in clay for Koi to enjoy |

| Try this: Take a packet of garlic flakes (dry) Add water and vinegar to the flakes (a little less vinegar than water) Stir it well, put a lid in the container and store in the fridge for a day or 2. It'll look like the tubes of crushed garlic and you'll have some lovely natural garlic oil to mix with the koi food. Refridgerate the koi food once you added the garlic.
Also, instead of the borges olive oil with garlic, you get Westfalia avocado oil with garlic. That should work well and it costs about R35 a bottle. All the Spar stores sell it. |
