I have a small little 700lt pond with 7 lionheads in it. It has a 2500lt submersible feeding into a mechanical\bio pressure filter with 8uv back into pond.

So my question is, can this be used as a QT facility for koi? or is it not adviseable to have this. So many people have lionheads, goldfish etc living together with their koi so I really dont see the hassle here. I have had this setup with these lionheads like this for around 8 months now and have had no issues with these lion heads, except for one where it looks as if he's gills are peeling outwards which someone advised is a common genetic issue with some of these goldfish.

So would this be ok to use as a QT?

I dont know lion heads, will they handle the salt?

You have to remember also, you might loose them if you pick up a problem while you Qt koi.

Otherwise I dont see a problem, Stock levels ok?
