| Hi I think the prices are absolutely insane considering the quality of the fish (R4500 for the three!) - that being said each to their own and if you like them and are happy with the price congrats - like the purachina looks clean. Metallic Sanke looks female other seem to be male - difficult to tell. Hope you are QT. best Quinton |

| Yeah i agree quinton. That is rather expensive for tosai but then again they are rather big 30cm if i read correctly.
The tancho sanke...not sure if that is going to become a real tancho. A tancho usually has the red between the eyes not overlapping but otherwise its quality is very good. I think its male - yellow nose.
That Heisei Nishiki looks like its loosing its colour, thats now if one compare it with the original photo....I hope im wrong. Maybe the dealer will replace that fish for you if the colour goes completely. |

| Wayne - you can add all sorts of caveats - fact is Purachina is fine - but not nearly worth that price. You can get top grade Japanese tosai granted much smaller, but landed at R400 - I saw some utsuri today and you recently bought some. I bought show quality kohakus from Sakai Tomahak bloodline - now close to 30cm, bought at 24cm for R700. Here is the best one - there just is no value comparison! Sorry stumble but that's just my humble opinion - I am sure some will differ! Kevin H made a similar point in the latest KOISA |

| That is the name of the game Stumble, you must feel comfortable with the purchase. There will always be risks in any price range of Koi. It all ads to the total experience. |

School fees....one cannot go from grade 1 to grade 12 without paying school fees. If you like the koi and you are willing to pay X amount for it then it obviosuly has the right price. Buying koi from the web is always difficult thats why i always ask for bigger photos of the koi....but nothing beats being able to see the koi infront of you in real life. |
