My new pond Empty
PostSubject: My new pond   My new pond EmptyWed Mar 10, 2010 3:20 pm

Having been continuously warned of my overstocking dilemma by fellow Forum members and so inspired by Bobby’s pond build that (as some of you may recall) I threatened to start my new pond on the 4th of January.

Well I did!

My pond is now completed. Today I did a final inspection and flushed the total system. Later I will do a final test of all the water parameters with my freshly recharged test kit and then add salt.

Provided that everything goes well, the majority of my Koi will relocate from my totally overstocked 7300 litre pond to the new 21000 litre facility this weekend.

I did attempt to compile a photo timeline of the saga which I will share with you as future posts under this topic. Not only will I share the photos but also the unexpected frustrations and pitfalls encountered.

In the mean time here is some pictures taken this morning:

Lyk baie baie goed Jan.

Very nice. I love the window. How deep is it?
Also love the idea of having it right by your entertainment area.

I wondered why Jan was so quiet. Building pond all the time and too scared to post pics as the project developed. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Lovely pond and lovely setup! Well done! Absoluut deel van jou kuier area.
