Bought this showa on sunday, still needs some bulking up, would have liked more shiro on the face, has a white mouth and some shiro on the left and right eye so not all is lost. The hi is nice and strong as is the sumi, just liked the look of it, and nice looking showa's are hard to find.

Would have liked more shiro overall, but thought as it fattens up that the shiro would then show better on her (was told it is a female as well)

Let me know your thoughts.

Hi Bobby, I bought it from loolilocks on sunday.....and it's an israeli!!!

The dealer looked at the fish and said that with the roundness of the fins he is quite confident that it's female, then showed me another one and how it's pectorals went into a point saying that would be a male.

How true this is, i dont know.... maybe he's just a blerry good salesman

Do you like it bobby??.....I think when the body starts filling out it should be quite a stunning fish.....think the hi and sumi is nicely balanced with shiro breaking up here and there.....I like it....very much, stare at this one more now than I do at my momotaro.....altho after posting my momotaro pics here I'm starting to realise that one's also stunning.......well till this one has bulked up that is

Hi Cliff, There seems to be a lots of Iraeli Koi going around in Gauteng. I am not convinced of their staying power as yet, by this I refer to their future potential, time will tell. This is another opportunity for you to show me wrong like you have done before.
