Hi all
We have just had a koi Safari in East London which was a lovely experiance. The first pond is 2000 liters belonging to a man who has a tumour on his brain. His pond is always in top condition every time I visit. It is amazing how koi can be such a good therapy to so many people. The second pond was a 35000 liter pond belonging to the Chairman of SAKKS EC. He has some fantastic Showa and Aka Utsuri. The third pond belongs to the previous minister of water affairs. I know her personally and when it comes to her koi there is no fussing around she will get into the filter and help clean all the media. Her koi pond is about 13000 liters. The forth pond was at a old age home where the owner turned the swimming pool into a massive koi pond. There is about eighty beautiful koi in and the seniors enjoy them as they sit around the pond. The last pond was at beautiful home with a 20000 liter pond. The koi in that pond mostly were bought from Gauteng dealers. He has one of the best filter systems in East London.
We hope to have our next koi safari in Port Elizabeth on the 17th April. Well, that does not seem to be difficult but Port Elizabeth is 300 kilometers away. P.E is six times larger than East London but there is seems to be no communication with one another. I trust the koi keepers there will help us to pull this one off.
Regards
Roy
