Subject: Lee-Ann Thank you for subscribing to my course

Hi Lee-Ann,
Thank you for subscribing to my course. I hope you find it informative and that it enhances you knowledge in keeping Koi.
Today we will go through the common misconceptions with keeping Koi fish.
1. Can I keep as many Koi fish as I want?
It is important to keep the number on Koi fish to a manageable level and only increase numbers when you feel you have sufficient knowledge and experience. This is because health problems can arise with potential devastating outcomes. There is a misconception that the number of fish kept is not an issue and that health problems are caused by parasites and bacteria.
2. Are my Koi having fun as they are leaping out of the water and rubbing vigorously?
Koi fish could vigorously rub against solid objects or leap out of the water. This can be an indication of health problems, for example a parasite problem or poor water quality. There is a misconception that this is because koi are playing.
3. The skin and fin are damaged; surely they will heal by themselves?
Skin and fin damage is commonly caused by bacterial infection and if spotted early can be easily treated. There is a misconception that this damage is caused by sharp objects in the pond.
4. Giving chemicals on a regular basis will keep the bugs away?
A common practice is to give chemical treatments to the pond on a regular basis to control parasites. This may have little effect and be harmful to both fish and filter. They should be controlled by good Koi fish-keeping practices.
I have gone through the main misconceptions and tomorrow we will look at benefits of keeping koi.
Sincerely
David

Hi Lee-Ann,
Koi fish are well known to help your relax and relieve stress. They are amazing and properly cared can grow up to 32-40" and live for up to 70 years.
There are many varieties to choose form allowing you to choose one that suits your personality. These include Showa, Shusui, Tancho, Asagi, Bekko Goshiki, Hanwake, Kohaku, Kumonryu, Matsuba, Ogon, Sanke.
Each person has their own special reason for keeping koi which makes them so special.
When looking for your koi undertake your research and check your local reputable pet store. If they do not specialise in these amazing fish then ask for a recommendation.
In our next email we will look at how to successful transport koi.
Sincerely
David

Hi Stumble,

For transportation what is need is good quality bags and rubber bands, and a transportation container.

The bags should be filled to ensure they are water tight and the rubber bands should be checked to ensure they are strong. The bag should be placed over the koi fish form head to tail with enough water in the bag to cover the gills. Rubber bands should be used at the ends of the bag to secure it.

The bags should be placed horizontally in a the transport container and care should be taken not to disturb your koi. The container should be secured for the journey that it does not get injured when the vehicle moves. It should be ensured that the koi is protected from heat and sun light.

When putting the fish in its pond the bag should be placed in the water and rubber bands should be taken off. The bag will open and the fish will go into the pond.
You can learn more in the e-book which I recommend. It is risk free as it comes with a 60 day money back guarantee with no questions asked. Please click below.

Shocked hmm.... yeah that sounds like a bit of bad advise.

I usually take my blue bowl and add some pond water to it, then i let the bag floar for about 2 min and then i release the fish with transport water into it the bowl. I then measure it, snap a photo and check it out for external marks.

If i suspect something i will take a scrape and put it under the microscope...but this very seldom happens.

From here i lift the koi out with a sock net and it goes into the Qt pond.
