Hi everyone

I'm not sure if this has been a topic before. I found this very interesting. If you click on the link below:

This guy from Costa Rica built a swimming pond. A swiming pool with fish in it. It's a long thread, but if you fast forward right to the end, you'll see the finished thing. Amazing!

Here is another link for a UK company that does this kind of thing, but I don't think they encourage putting fish in their swim ponds.

This is very interesting and can you imagine how great it would be to swim with your fish!

I had a look.

It seems he wants a pond with no algae.. that he can swim in..

Those stones will become so slippery..

Well it looks good but I think he must deside what he wants to achieve.

Cleaning that with a vacuum weekly is insane.

I heard a talk on Radio 702 on this subject last year. See the websites:

However, I don't like the idea of swimming with my koi...perhaps a beautiful mermaid would be nice. Very Happy

At some point algae will grow on the sides and the bottom and then it won't be that nice in there anymore. He must also have a brilliant filtration system to keep that water clean - easily poison the kids if he is not careful!

The pond in the second link is stunning:

The one in the first link will soon be just a pond.

Julian from Houtbay has a nice setup with his 230 000 liter liner pond where his family and dogs apparently swim on a regular basis.

He even had a little boat on there when I was there.
