Year End Function

The committee is arranging a year end function for the 5th of December.

1. No entry charge for members

2. Bring and Braai

3. Cash bar

4. Time: 15hoo for 16h00

5. Venue: at Abrahams Transport 2km past Kuilsrivier Golfing range on the right hand side. (Bottelarypad)

Hi All
Please join us Saturday 05 December @ 14h00 for a SAKKS year end function. Bring the family and kids to make this into a memorable and happy occasion for all Kio lovers to enjoy.
We will start this off at 14h00 by visiting the Koi farm Membwe owned by Neil Calver on the Bottelary road. Directions from Cape Town travelling on the N1
From N1 take the Malmesbury / Stellenbosch off ramp and turn right towards Stellenbosch. You will arrive at a set of robots crossing the Bottelary road. Turn right at this robot and shortly you will see the Membwe entrance gate on your right.
From this Koi farm we will drive 3 km in the direction of Kuilsrivier golf course and on the left you will see a sign for Abrahams Transport were we will be having our Braai at the Lapa. ( Swimming Pool Available)
This will be a bring and braai and no charges will be levied. SAKKS will pay for the venue and a cash bar will be available.
Cape Koi Aquarium has offered to sponsor some of the new formula Shogun food and some clay we can give away to lucky winners.
Looking forward to see you all the Koi Keepers at our year end function.

Hi Bobby, just got home now after a very interesting 7+ hours. Thanks for organising the event. Those who did not attend lost out on a great day. Must say, the fish farm we visited was very interesting and I learned a lot. Looking forward to some photos.

We have to thank Craig for the wonderful opportunity to visit Membwe. Very strict bio-security is in place in the interest of Koi. Judging by the capital investment, this farm has major plans for the future with various fish species. Our sincere thanks to Neil and his team and I would like to see this farm join the WCKC to further the interest of Koi in the Cape. As Paul has stated in his earlier post we all learned from this experience and it is wonderful to have another outlet on our doorstep in the Cape.
