We visited Golden Dragon Koi Farm in Modderfontein in an old sewerage facility yesterday (not to be confused with Dragon Koi in Benoni)- Pavlo is a nice guy and I must admit that I couldn't resist buying some small ones. I especially liked this susui, but still very small. He also breeds in some of those circular dams.

He is very close to my home, if I need a home visit, but if there are concerns, pm me.
As mentioned before, I just had a bad experience January, got someone out from LL and did not even test the water, played with Bunny, the dachshund and the price was a bit hectic for what was done!

I really like this one, still small, but seems to have enough colour on the sides, and I thought the zip looks good?

And also a "ghost", just for some colour. I must say, this was a four against one.


Thoughts? I would have only bought the first one.

Hi Albie, glad you made it past him......I must say that after being to more koi places I feel most comfortable with Pavlo's fish........he definitely has the healthiest looking fish farm I have been to.

Haven't been to alot, went to 2 places in boksburg in the last 2 days and was horiified at some of the fish I saw, 1's body was so cooked, another had sores on the side.........just felt dodgy and wrong. At Golden Dragon I always feel I am getting value for my money.

I discovered Pavlo last year by chance when I did my pond. I needed filtration advice and he gace it freely. Since then I have only bought my fish from him. No problems with the fish at all and I also did not QT any of the arrivals over the last 12 months. Risky I know, but I don;t have a QT facility....

Pavlo knows his stuff and is very helpful. I get all my Koi food from him as well.
