Was never very confident with the idea of Barley straw but got a bag from Servaas De Kock and tried it out.

Within two weeks, one of my new ponds was crystal clear, without a UV ...



... until the damn fish decided to spawn in this pond while the water temperatures are still only 16 degrees.

Have now added barly straw to all my ponds. It works.
