i have a brown colored koi with gold speckels on his back,and getting better with age.dont know name,sorry no pic

I am no expert at all but if it is brown it will fall under the Kawari mono group and it will be a Chagoi. If scales are present on the back and along the lateral lines it will be a Doitsu

gold flakes on back are like metal flake on boats. and are more pronounced as he ages.i will try to post a picture later

Difficult to say without a photo.
Maybe something like this? The brown colour can vary.
Doitsu A term that developed from the word for German/Deutsch. The Koi has scales on along its dorsal fin. A leather Koi is a Doitsu with no scales; a mirror Koi is one that has scales along its dorsal fin AND along its lateral line and around the mouth.

Herewith a photo of one of my ginrin Chagoi's and ginrin Ochiba's. Ochiba is a cross between Chagoi and Saragoi.
It looks like a very slim Chagoi but it is purely a bad photo, but you can see the gold colour.
