Good morning all,

I wanted to know what's the general view on feeding your koi freeze dried foods?

As a treat once or twice a week I feed koi some freeze dried Brine shrimp, krill, river shrimp and Tubifex.

Here's the analysis of the products:

Brine Shrimp

Guaranteed Analysis
Min. Crude Protein….48%
Min. Crude Fat………..6%
Max. Crude Fiber…….2.5%
Max. Moisture…….…. 5%
INGREDIENTS: Brine Shrimp, Vitamin E supplement.

Tubifex worms

Guaranteed Analysis
Min. Crude Protein….54%
Min. Crude Fat………..9%
Max. Crude Fiber…….2%
Max. Moisture………. 5%
INGREDIENTS: Tubifex Worms, Vitamin E supplement.


Shrimp

Guaranteed Analysis
Min. Crude Protein….60%
Min. Crude Fat………..6%
Max. Crude Fiber……2.5%
Max. Moisture………. 5%
INGREDIENTS: Shrimp, Vitamin E supplement.

Krill

Guaranteed Analysis

Max. Crude Fiber…….19%
Max. Moisture………. 5%
INGREDIENTS: Krill, Vitamin E supplement.

The fish seems to love it. What do you guys think?

You forgot bloodworms...Its good treat once a week or so....bit on the expensive side.

i find the blood worms and mysis shrimp to fine for the big fish.... i dont mind paying the R80 odd that it costs for a tub

I take the frozen blocks and through them to the big fish...they eat the big block quickly and seem to like it....but its a bit expensive.

I'm talking about the freeze dried tins of food - not actual frozen food.
