PostSubject: Freak accident-fins damaged   Fri Nov 28, 2008 6:41 pm

One of my fish landed in the filter (I was away this week-don't know for how many days). Just found him, put him back and he is swimming actively and do not look distressed at all, BUT his two side fins have been injured and look square now.

I do not have salt in my water (quite a lot of water plants)

I just took the pictures, quality is very bad.

1. Should I do anything?
2. Will the fins grow back again? (The fish is about 20cm long)
The water quality is excellent, but the foam is there due to the effort to get the fish out

Thanks
Albie

Hi Albi,

If your water quality is good and your pond is clean the fin should heal by itself.

Thanks Jaco

That sounds promising, as the fish seems pretty happy. I add 2 photos that I took just now
