Hi Paul,
I have a similar set up to the example given. The question i have is this must the return go through the bio filter bthen uv or must it be split and have each their own return? If so what are the consequences if they dont. Mine is the latte.

Your water should not run to fast through your biofilter because it will be less effective (mechanically and biologically).
Your water should also not run to fast through your UV as it might become less effective. (depends on the size of the UV) SIZE POND CAPACITY MAX FLOW PER MINUTE 8 Watt 6 000 Litre 40 LT/M 15 Watt 15 000 Litre 60 LT/M 30 Watt 30 000 Litre 140 LT/M 55 Watt 55 000 Litre 300 LT/M
Therefore you should split the outlet between the two if your water turnover is too large.

Paul, Sorry forgot to mention I have a flow regulator on that line.

One line can go directly to the pond and the other line can feed your filter and UV, or you put the UV and filter each on their own line. It would not make a difference, as long as your flow rates through your filter and UV are regulated.

Hi Wayne C
Welcome to the forum, how big is your pond?
Why don't you post some pictures of it (please)
