Southern California here. Woke up to a bubble bath in the pond (only the second time it’s happened) so I scooped some eggs out of the filter basket and put them in tiny aquarium that I had in the shed. Did this last year and nothing happened so I wasn’t expecting anything. But look! 48 hours later we have babies!

I unplugged the filter because I read that the don’t swim immediately. Crunched up an adult food pellet in some filtered water and dropped it is as I read they need food..

What do I do? Can anyone send me to reputable article? As you can see the tank is tiny. I really wasn’t expecting this and I really want them to reach adulthood!
