Hi Guys, Lee from Westville, Durban!

This is the first pond I built when we bought our house. Rather small, and now realise not a great idea, as I really battle with algae. However, I plan on building a much bigger 35 000 litre pond next to my pool soon.

Pic looking towards our front door. You need to step over the pond to enter the house.

Left Side of pond.

View from our dining room. We smashed out the wall to have a full sized window looking out.

Looking towards the dining room windows and main waterfall.

The opposite end of the pond. (Filtration equipment all this side behinds palm trees so its completely out of site)

And last but not least, My Babies :-)

Lee,
very nice! Romantic...If U can incorporate the top and bottom pond it might be nice...I can see this pond is high...if the new pond will be lower than this U might join them with a river and series of water falls.

Neli that would be my dream, but alas, would be impossible to incorporate! But man, what a feature that would have been huh :-)

Thanks Quinten :-) Im very happy with the look but its not really a great pond.

I REALLY wanted a pond that you step over, and due to location the pond is only about 5000l, (Absolute biggest I could get) so water quality is always a mission. I do have a decent filtration, but still battle with algae bloom.

Hence my new project next to the pool - size DOES matter LOL

Hey Quinton, another guy from Durban - Good to see :-) Where abouts you stay? Im up in Westville.

Hi Lee,

Looking at your lovely garden, I can see quite a few places where a 100,000 litre pond can go. bounce
