Hi Cliff.
To be a Doitsu Hariwake the scales on the back (zip) should not have a net pattern.(Black coloring). Should be white or yellow. Think this fish are a bit scares, or a good quality one like this. I might be wrong Embarassed Maybe Costa, Wayne or SAS can help out. Smile

Costa I will stay with Doitsu Ki Kujaku because of the netted zip and it looks like a silvery black lining at the edge of the yellow if you look closely. This is a stunning fish! Shocked bounce

I dont know...but want to find out...
I have the same koi but it is just yellow all over...with blackish scales on the Zip...from Sakai..
I was told that it is doitsu Ki matsuba...
But this one hard to say...

That's right Neli, if its yellow metallic all over with a blackish zip it's a Doitsu Ki Matsuba. Smile
