PostSubject: EM - Effective Microorganisms for ponds - Koi   Tue May 08, 2012 1:11 pm

In aquaculture, Poor water quality stresses the fish which in turn stunts their growth and affects their health and ammonia causes swelling of the gill lamelae and fish canīt breathe and die.

This is very evident in highly stocked tanks. With addition of this beneficial microorganisms to the water, the ammonia problem is minimized, if not fully arrested. It helps hasten or complete the denitrification or converting wastes into forms not harmful to fish.
