Both koi are nice, both got nice body shape.

The Purachina looks very shinny (metallic) from the photo, which is something i personally like about it.

The Doitsu Sanke, the hi is very deep and the white on the body is snow white; the sumi i can't see clearly, but looks like the sumi will still take some time to develope.

But i am just wondering how will the Doitsu Sanke's hi develope, her/his hi is so deep (red) now. Is it going to fade or turn out to be even deeper red???

I am not that clued up with the specific aspects to look for as a show fish, but this is beautiful koi. I just love the pure white (Purachina) and other metallic one colour Ogons like the Yamabuki.

Very nice photo. I am still unable to take photo's without glare.

Hi Phillip

A polarizing filter works quite well. Herewith a photo taken on the same day and time, same fish, but without a polarizing filter:

The Sanke is my favorite, would not mind if it was mine.
Very nice.

Hi all,
I take photos as part of my job, and I agree with the pointers given in this forum under the heading "Tips and tricks when taking photos of your koi"

I have tried various options to get that perfect shot, and what works best for me is to mount the camera on a tripod, pre-focus on a specific area and set all meterings - F-stop etc. And then to wait and wait and wait.
