 UV light still bright 2 years old

Hi there guys as you will see in my last post I am having trouble with my pond its gone green, Just a question if my UV is 2 years old but still shines bright could it be the reason my pond has gone green, should i change it. I read somewere it is only good for 9 months is that even if they shining..

Yes it will still glow but it will not be working anymore

Hi Shawn

Yes Marius is correct. They shine but there is no more strength in the ultra violet rays.

9 months is the norm, but one can extend it if you switch it off when not needed.

Thanks guys ok Oom Jan came round today and changed my globe so let's hold thumbs. I'm still stuck offshore Angola with no passport got to love Africa they say Wednesday now so hope to be home by Friday. Will let you all know if it cleared up.
