Hi,

When does someone become an alcoholic?

Is it when that person needs a drink every day of his life or can’t stop drinking by himself?

Any other theory? drunken

When you can't control your alcohol and the alcohol controls you.

Having a drink daily is normal but you need to know when to stop drinking.

Frans, ek hou van jou stelling!!!!

Chris,

Voel skuldig of kry ontrekking simptome?

Hi

This is a very controversial l type question and there will be many replies as to when is one an alcoholic.

Me myself and many of my friends and associates are then probably alcoholic's, as we love our drink's when we socialize. Bring daai bier man. I and lots of us have been drinking socially for many many years and sir I promise you maybe to people who abstain's eyes I am an alcoholic. But I have never been off work or caused any problems while or after having had a dop.

I must say that people who abstain completely worries me, there is something wrong or they have other maybe worse vices.

Een vir die pad pu pel.Cheers.

Oom Neville, I would say that hardly makes for an alcoholic. I enjoy a dop when I am socializing altho will never have a dop on my own.

I played golf 2 weekends ago and one of the guys I was playing with was going on and on about how he needed a beer so badly....and this was at 7am!.......he then sent the caddy to get beers and by the time we had finished our round he had 6 beers. Then 6 double captains at the club house in the next hour. And before the round had started had coffee and splash (whiskey) at 5h30 when he woke up for the round. He even mentioned how he battled to sleep so got up for a whiskey at 2h30 that morning.

There are many a different views on what an alcoholic is, I remember from a child my dad telling me that with an alcoholic he can drink a single beer and he will be on his ear. Also think someone who can drink a whole bottle just for mos on his own without company or not in a social environment has a drinking problem.

Like oom Nev said, a bit controversial cos now we have 100 okes on the forum who think they're alcoholics.....lol

Chris,

Fok ek is nou so lus vir n bier ek kan vrek man, dis warm hier.

Beware of the one who drinks nothing, when did he stop to drink too much. and is now afraid to touch it.

Give me a guy who can handle his liqueur and I will show you a man that can
handle anything.

lol!

Is ek 'n Alokholis?

Wanneer 'n persoon eers "skelm" begin drink is dit baie ernstig!
