Hi Sas

The 3 colours on a showa needs to be balanced to get a good overall effect. This koi has to much sumi (black) and i will bet good money that with time the koi will loose its Hi (red)....But....that would make it a Shiro Utsuri and looking at the sumi, shiro and pattern with that though in mind it might turn into a nice Shiro Utsuri.

Then another things i noticed:

1. I do not know if it is just the image but the koi appears to have to much mucus...looks very shiny
2. The koi has no barbels.

Wayneb:

Thanks for your reply!

I paid very little to buy this Showa from a local breeder, so i don't know the bloodline of this Showa.

But i am just taking a chance here, i have 2 hopes on this koi:

1st Hope:
I hope all the Hi on the body will disappear and leave me a Tancho Showa. Very Happy

2nd Hope:
All the Hi on the whole koi will disappear and leave me with a nice Shrio Utsuri. Very Happy

Do you think one of the above could possibly happen???

By the way, i am sure the Showa has barbels. Maybe i didn't take the image well, so the Showa looks like very Shiny.
