Hi all

I would please like all your thoughts on the below Shiro Utsuri. Is there any potential?
Sorry about the brownish appearance on the white skin, it just had a PP dip (you can notice it
clearly on the fins. The white is actually nice.
Fish is tosai around 22cm. Still very young.

Hi Chris,

It could turn out a very nice fish, but as I have been told by the boffins, there is too much black at this early stage. One should look for a more white the black will come later.

I understand what your saying. I took this one according to my own limited experience with Utsuri development. I was very curious to see what this one would look like later so I bought it, otherwise I'll never know. Looked specifically at the head pattern and thought that there's a nice balance of black & white on the body as well. I guess only time will tell....

Chris,

Sorry,I donít like this Koi.
Why?
Looking at the body shape, it looks like a Male.
The Shumi on the pectoral fins, is not good, and will never become good Motoguro markings.
There are too many secondary Sumi (Black) markings present.

PS. If PP colored the skin on Koi there is an absence of mucus.

I followed the advice of our Knysna Utsuri master and out of all my available options this seemed to be the best. I'm mainly curious to see what it'll look like 3 years from now.

Hi Chris,

1. Swart pectorals
2. Swart Tail fin
3. Swart in the pelvic fins.

Daar is so spot waar jy die toekoms wit sien.

Dit moet so 5 keer wees.

Ek dink die is 'n mannetjie.
