East London living jewels Empty
PostSubject: East London living jewels   East London living jewels Icon_minitimeMon May 10, 2010 9:30 pm

I have realized that we have got jewels on our door step at the Amalinda fish farm, in East London. I went to have a look at the koi and to determine the condition of the koi on the farm. I microscoped three koi in the indoor holding tank and found neither parasites nor ulcers.
We then went to the mud dam which we intend to trawl soon and tested two koi but found no parasites. Another assuring fact is that they had a KHV test last year and since then they had no new koi coming on to the farm.
David and Yapi the mangers intend to have an open day there on Saturday the 29th May 2010. The program for the day consists of the following:
 Dam trawl in which there are Asagi, Shusui, Doitsu Hariwake, Kohaku, Kumonryu, Beni Kumonryu and other suprises.
 Viewing of their large variety of gold fish hatchery
 Viewing of their fresh water lobsters
 Hike in the game reserve to view Zebra’s and other game.
 Jumping castle
 Bring and braai
This information is for all in the Eastern Cape who may be interested
It is important to quarantine all koi irrespective from whom you buy it so the same rules for purchases made on the farm. If you are interested to purchase koi before the open day just phone David 0828551822. He is even prepared to help you after hours or on Saturdays but you will have to make arrangements with him.
Regards

Roy
