Had a carp that had a had a fungus on its gill cover. treated, looks fine now however, it does not look like the "skin" is covering the old wound again.....

Does skin regrow on gill covers? Once injured there.........

Hi Adi,
Yes I think it will heal, will take longer because there is not a lot of blood there, wounds need blood to heal. You just have to look after it to make sure no bacterial infection gets in there. Spray either Mercurochrome, gentions violet, fryers balm or occasionally treat with potassium paste.

Please let us know on progress here as it is a interesting injury.
