Congratulations to all the winners, especially Colin Hunt and Quinton Jones who took Supreme Grand Champion A & B with 8 of the top trophies and a long list of places. I will post the details and more photo in due course.

I was very pleased to see that quite a few of Koi Online's clients won prices from koi supplied by Koi Online, in this case, Colin Hunt, Mario Kensly, Nick Naude, Shawn Van Straten(Angry Ant), and my son, Johan Viljoen.

My son (12) is very happy with his 6 awards out of 10 fish which he did not expect, and he is now going to put all his money aside to buy more.





He wanted to buy a very small baby Kohaku (approximately 8 cm) on auction donated by Tony Pithan from Koi Water Barn and was very disappointed when this baby he was interested in, went for R 2 000.00. He only had R 220.00 available after he bough one of the Sakai grow and show fish for R 1250.00.

By the way, a big thanks to Tony for donating the 4 babies to SAKKS.

Will change the pics when i get a chance tmrw. The report i was working of said Best Potential Size - 2 Nick Naude, i guess a fault slipped in somehow.

Thanks Ernst & Quinton, some of the pics did not come out as good as i thought. Glare is a big problem when taking photos but I will not be using a polorising filter for the koi show again. It makes the images to dark. I adjusted the brightness and contrast of the images above to try and bring the colours out a bit more. The images that appear grainy is due to the polorising filter making the image to dark. I really battled with the best potential Size 1 and Baby grand you will notice its very grainy.

I changed the name on best potential size 2 and i uploaded an image of the reserve grand champion. I used an image from the benching process, so its not the best. I have already arranged with Collin to sort it out this coming weekend.

To Durbanville Hills Winery

From the WCKC I want to say a very big thank you to the staff and Management at the Durbanvile Hills Winery for allowing us to use your premises the past week-end to host our 1rst Baby Koi Show.

I was getting a bit concerned when I observed some of the committee members and hobbyist enjoying some Durbanville wine on the grass next to the show. The wife of one of our Exhibitors from the UK commented that this was the first Show site she enjoyed due to the scenery, or could it be that she had a glass of your wonderful wine within 10min of arrival.

You have all been great and never refused us any requests for the duration of the set-up and show.

Many of our hobbyist visited you winery for the first time and found it to be a very nice setting and enjoyed the experience.
