One of my Koi has a split dorsal fin still don’t know how it happened but it’s been a long time and it has not healed. Can anyone help me on how I can fix this problem? I have read once that you can use some kind of glue. Any advice

We use super glue to repair it, it works well. Sets in seconds.

My son also uses it for minor cuts on his hands, unreal it is just gone.

What make of super glue ? waterproof ?

The last one I used was from pratley's, I must say I did not now there is a waterproof one, I dont think it matters
Just make sure the fins are wiped dry with a tissue before you apply.

I can only share my experience by telling you that one of my bigger Kohaku's had a badly split dorsal fin 3 weeks ago, I panic and my keepers friends advised me that we could give it a surgical stitch or glue, if it does not improve over time. Well now 3 weeks later and she is fine, it healed by itself.

I've used both ways. With smaller koi superglue can do it, with bigger koi you have to use a stitch as there is too much force on the fin. Sometimes putting the koi in QT fot a few days where swimming and feeding is restricted can also speed up the process.
