Hi Anver
I need to buy an air pump, so have been weighing up the options. But maybe the following may help to address your problem. Perhaps your switch just needs resetting. According to the Hakko website, these switches are relatively sensitive, and prone to cut-out if diagpraghm becomes faulty, or if the pump takes a bump.
Go to website www.hakkoairpumps.com. In the "Troubleshooting" menu there is a link to "resetting cut-out switch".
The website also lists their Dealer network in the USA, and I'm sure they'll source the part for you, and surely the costs to get it to you should be minimal.
A personal point of view: If a Koi Dealer in this country is the appointed sole distributor of the product in SA, then surely he should assist you in accessing the spare part for a pump he sold you for R4k - R5k. If he periodically brings in pumps then surely ordering a switch should not be too complicated? To go back to him and insist on support, would be my option.

Anver you are very lucky that you got through on the phone. I tried for weeks to phone but no luck.

My son went there eventually for me to buy an Ezbio 90 pre-filter. They dont stock it anymore and told me to buy 4 x Ezbio20 filter (which will be the same size as the Ezbio 90.) but at a price of R1400 each I am not interested since I can make my own with one Matala sheet and a 50mm PVC pipe
I used 6 of my big ponds Grey Matala sheets for my QT pond and wanted to replace them since my Koi are getting bigger. No luck either. Tried to convince my son to buy the less dense sheets and said they not going to get grey sheets again.

Big headache when you need something but can only buy it from one place

Hi Jack and Marius
Thanks guys for your concern.
I did speak to the supplierin SA and they insisted they only have diaphram kits and no other spares.
However i eventually got in contact with hakko in Taiwan and seem to be getting somewhere.
They also have liased with the local supplier regarding my dilema.
Thanks
Anver
