My first Koi pond Empty
PostSubject: My first Koi pond   My first Koi pond EmptyTue Apr 06, 2010 8:47 pm

Hi guys.

This is my first post on this forum.

I built my first pond in Dec 08. I currently have 18 koi in the pond.

The pond is a liner pond with two small submirsible pumps, one for filter and one for circulation.

I have made a few changes to the pond that is not in the pic but will be demolishing it in the future in order to expand it. I want to double the size and make it concrete as well as raising it as the my German Shepherd takes a dip atleast 3 times a day.

I will post some pics of my koi later.

All comments, good or bad will be appreciated.

After having the pond for more than a year, my koi are really starting to grow. They may not be championship specimen, but they are my first koi and I am definitely enjoying my new hobby.

Hi Achmat welcome to the forum. Nice to have new names on the forum.

Good points - you have a pond that looks nice and the water is clear!

Bad points - You have no bottom drain so getting the muc from the pond floor will be a pain.

Welcome again.

Wayne
