| It is amazing to see how the Koi in my 2.5 Million liter mud dam hide from predators because their is no net over to protect them. There are a lot of fish eagles in the area and they very seldom see human activity. Even when I throw food, they will only come up when they are absolutely sure that there are no movement around and they avoid the sides of the dam at all times. But, ... when I introduced a few more fish over the last weekend, about a hundred of them came to the side to greet the new arrivals. Sooo curious. |

| There are about 200. Also a lot of babies, but they might have been eaten by frogs, only time will tell when I drag the dam. |

Hi Does this behaviour not tie in with the Koi memory-posts on the forum? Did they not perhaps recognise your voice? |

| I believe so, as a matter of fact, I think they know the sound of my diesel bakkie already, and associate that with food. Hulle is nie so dom soos wat party mense dink nie. |
