PostSubject: Bekko's   Bekko's EmptyTue Dec 08, 2009 4:22 pm

This was a Sanke, now is a Bekko.

I bred this Bekko myself, it is 22cm and 12months old.

Should i keep it or cull it??? Any opinions are welcome.

I like the bekko but i would like the sumi spots to be smaller.

Obviously a male. Did you breed it yourself?

I bred this Bekko myself.

I am not sure if it's a male or female yet, cause it's still too small to tell.

But i will see in the future.

I am also not a Bekko fan, and Bekko's are not popular anymore. There is basically no breeder in Japan who breeds the variety anymore.

However, Sass, this is a very good Bekko. Congratulations.

Admin,

I am also not a Bekko fan, this was a Tancho Sanke........

Unfortunately, it's a Bekko now.....

Cause the Tancho marking just faded........

But i am sure the quality of the white ground and the sumi will be excellent in the future.

Now, i am deciding should i cull it or not.

I will give it one more summer season to grow.

If i am not happy with it after that, than i will inform you to come and collect it.

It seems like people in SA don't really like Bekko, but people oversea like Bekko.

I posted the same pic. on another forum, go check it out:

Hi Sas

Think about it this way, the easiest way to win a price at a koi show in SA is to enter a Bekko. Very often there are no winners in this category because there are no entries.

Hi Admin,

ha ha...... Nice one!

It's true, i can win a prize in a SA koi show easily with this Bekko...

But i never enter any koi shows, even when i was in Asia..... Cause i am not so into prize or trophy.

So, i am not going to do that.....

ha ha..... But that is a very good idea.... ha ha ha...... Laughing Laughing Laughing
