Generators and Pumps Empty
PostSubject: Generators and Pumps   Generators and Pumps EmptyFri Oct 30, 2009 2:18 pm

Tanzania is full of surprises. They are running out of power since they make use of Hydro electricity and the rainy season will only start within the next week or two. This forced TANESCO( Tanzanian Elect supply company) to switch the power off every second day for about 12 hours at a time. Needless to say I went out to buy a small generator just to keep things going.

The biggest ‘shock’ is the price:

Generator: Power rating: 3kW. Price: R1933.70

15 Amp power cord: R8.28/m

The best part is that they even stock Pedrolla pumps.

CPM 158 – 0.75kW at R1298
