| Hi Jaco Is it feasible for you to arrange a blow by blow progress report and pictures of the development of these Chagoi? From the breeding pair, the spawning, the fry etc. (sort of like from sperm to worm so to speak). I will be very interested in this process and will really appreciate such information. |

| I will follow it up with Jaco to hear when they will be ready. Looking forward to it since many people have new ponds now. Think it will be great fun to share info on here as they grow |

| Been thinking twice about this, how do we compete with the okes that buy manda nashiki and whatever else ????
Some of these things are so expensive, guess if we want it bad enough we shud fork out huh???
Seeing you're doing it already guess it would probably only be fair I guess....lol |

| Yes, I understand that stuff is very expensive but since I am almost never home mine gets food only 1s a day (sometimes twice). I use Hikari food and on weekend they get a mix of clay/powder vitamins/garlic. My son in Kempton is breeding silk worms and crickets for his dragons, so maybe I will get a few a Xmas present.
I will add about 4 of the Koi to my pond. 2 will remain in QT and the other 2 in main pond. Will feed all the fish the same food but I am looking forward to see the difference in growth between the 2 ponds. |

| They will only be available end of season, around end of April. Should be around 20 -25cm then. |

| I just sold my chagoi 2 mins ago.......getting ready for when these are available.
I bought mine in August at 17cm's and just sold him at 28cm's, now I just need to be strong because everytime I visit a blerry koi shop I end up buying more fish and with these 2 chagoi's to come I will then have 10 fish in my 8000lt dam, luckily the biggest now is just touching on 20cm's so not worried about overstocking.
Have you got any gin chagoi's in your batch Jaco?? |

| I was thinking, and this is just a question, you say the fish will be ready end of april or thereabout.....now thats almost into winter, would it not be better to transport and have the chagoi introduced to a new pond earlier, say in february and then at least by the time winter comes they're established in their new ponds and their systems won't be at more risk due to the transportation and the fact that it's colder????
Just a question\suggestion |

| Dankie Bobby.
