The breeding season has just started as can be seen from Jaco's latest offsprings.

I am going to keep it simple this year by trying to breed only with Ogons (Chogoru purachinas and Yamabubi's - male and female of each), trying to produce Purachina, Yamabuki and Hariwake and will post development.

We are always behind down here in the Cape, and I am waiting until it is a bit warmer.

It is extremely exciting to see the harvest of thousands of small koi after a successful breeding.

I took this photos at Platinum koi two years ago after a successful breeding program.





Pitty that all these koi had to be culled after they detected KHV.

Incredible.

Were those platinums bred from the famous japanese platinum breeder?

I suppose you refer to Chogoru. I do not know which parent stock Servaas De Kock used at the time.

Are some of those Gin Purachina, they look great or are my eyes not that good ?
