I inherited the pond next to our stoep and after years of struggling, the water is clear. I want a more natural look, with plants, but as you can see, there is basically no space to plant, unless one uses pots. I do not use salt in the water.

Waterfall and venturi. I have planted some reeds at the back. The neighbours have got a garden shed, that is a sore in the eye. (Would it be possible to get some sort of a water plant at/innext to the waterfall)

View to the neighbours and our stoep- want to ask them if I can plant some reeds on their side to give privacy.

Should I try to get more height on the left side corner, but the tree fern does well:

Path between pond and pool. Pond might crack if I take one or two "stones" out

The wall between us and the neighbours

More of the waterfall and swimming pool:

If someone know of another forum that I can also post- some gardening forum,I will be most grateful.

If someone can draw and scan the ideas in, that will be very nice!

Thanks
Albie

If it was me I'd put a trellis on top of the wall or idealy raise the wall with more of the fencing that you have further back, retaining the hight of the fence to the wall of your house.
Do you have any space to plant anything?
I wouldn't put any creepers in because of falling leaves.
Plant the Yucca by the pillar into a bigger pot.

1. The wooden fencing sounds good, but I will need to hear what the neighboor says.
2.There is basically no space to plant- what about those long rectangular pots where I put a block-the path will be quite narrow then.

3. The yucca is long overdue!
4. What about plants next to where the water is running on the waterfall?

Thanks
Albie
