 Red worms

Hi to all.
I am new in keeping koi. my pond is about 4000L
i have a three bag sand filter. splits to the uv and to a
200L filter with volcano rock. when i inspect the filter.
I find that ther is a lot of red worms and looks like
larva atached to sides. is this normal or not

They are called bloodworms.

What I have been told is this is a sign of a healthy pond/biofilter
