I fly fish on a regular basis to Johannesburg and had no fatalities, touch wood. My last batch of fish from Japan via Amsterdam was in boxes for 52 hours with no problems at all.

This is a big bugger who will need quite a lot of water to ensure that it stays upright and gills covered, and a huge plastic bag, but no problem. Flying costs will be approximately R 1000.00. That is more than flying there myself.

The fish sold to Bred for R 7000.00 and stays in Cape Town. Lucky (and very happy) buyer.

It turned out that the fish was actually 89 cm. Probably why I am still in severe pain despite voltaren injections. My back can not handle fish this size anymore.
