I have created a new +- 100 000 liter pond (15 x 7) (in progress), to accommodate newly hatched fry.

I need to make an urgent decision.

Option 1

Only an air compressor with various air stones like most people do it.

Option 2

Two submersible pumps, each pulling from 15 meter x 40 mm irrigation pipes lying on the bottom, full of holes, covered with stockings to prevent the fry from being sucked in, and returning via bakki showers.

I will appreciate your inputs on the pro's and con's / viability of the two systems.

Hi Paul

Option 1

Is the best that is the way how it have been done for more than 100 years. The air will also turn the water over.

Option 2

The suctions will block up with in 2 weeks and then all your problems will start. Ask me been there and done that.
