http://shop.technopro.co.za/konus-science-1200x-microsope-p-357.html

This is the one that most koi keepers in Cape Town use. As Admin said we get it at the science center in canal walk.

It is a basic student microscope with its own light source. It is very important to pick a MScope with its own light source otherwise you are always going to struggle with the little mirror thing.

Eye piece : 10x
Lenses : 4x 10x and 40x

MScope Magnification gets calculated by multiplying the Eye Piece Magnification with the Lense Magnification. So max on this unit is 10 x 40 = 400X

The price of this unit at the science center is R 1600.00. You can purchase the same unit at the KoiNetwork for R 1500.00.

You do get smaller MScopes for cheaper but this one has all the lenses you would ever need. I bought an additional 60x lens but honestly never needed it before. Before i purchased this unit i used a R 300 MScope that i bought at Toys R Us. One of those MScope kits for kids....it works but the picture quality is not that great.

I also bought the one on Wyne's photo and it is great. Comes with a wooden box that can be locked. It has a mirror (when you need to do a scaping at the pond) and a detachable electric ligh source and it is worth the extra penny.

I am going to buy a microscope from Chris. I think the price is good, but last week I have phoned a local Bloem supplier and explained what I was looking for.

Please sit down and light a cigarette first………………..
They even had the cheek to tell me I must look at the pictures of the more expensive one before I buy it
$52881.75
$9893.80
US dollars, not Zim dollars by the way
Very good for Koi keeping they told me

LOL
Stem saam met Jaco, lyk ook beter as myne, ek het dieselfde een as wat Paul en Wayne gebruik.
